Challenge

Launching a new brand into a new market

Innovine was part of a broader initiative to expand the company’s consumer product portfolio into Europe. The challenge was not simply to publish another Shopify store.

Technical details

Innovine was part of a broader initiative to expand the company’s consumer product portfolio into Europe. The challenge was not simply to publish another Shopify store. The new storefront needed to establish a distinct identity for a modern premium barware brand while still connecting to the commerce infrastructure already supporting a multi-brand organization. Multiple stakeholder sessions were used to align on the target customer, visual direction, brand tone, product presentation, and overall shopping experience. The final experience needed to balance a more elevated consumer-facing identity with the practical requirements of product data, inventory, pricing, orders, fulfillment, marketing, and customer management.

Solution

Turning the brand direction into a complete commerce experience

After the brand direction was finalized, I worked alongside the in-house designer as the visual concepts and mockups were developed. My role was to translate that direction into the working Shopify storefront.

After the brand direction was finalized, I worked alongside the in-house designer as the visual concepts and mockups were developed. My role was to translate that direction into the working Shopify storefront. I built the customer-facing experience across the site—from the landing page and merchandising sections through collection, product, brand story, informational, and supporting pages—while making sure the visual system remained consistent across desktop and mobile. Rather than treating the design as a set of isolated pages, I implemented it as a reusable Shopify theme system that could support ongoing merchandising and future product growth after launch.

Implementation

Building the storefront from mockup to production

With the approved theme direction and design mockups in place, I implemented the storefront in Shopify and developed the pages and components required for the complete customer journey.

With the approved theme direction and design mockups in place, I implemented the storefront in Shopify and developed the pages and components required for the complete customer journey. This included responsive landing-page sections, collection merchandising, product presentation, navigation, brand and informational pages, cart-related experiences, and reusable storefront components. I also configured the commerce fundamentals needed for launch so the visual experience and Shopify configuration worked as one production storefront. The goal was to preserve the visual intent of the design while keeping the implementation maintainable enough for the internal team to continue managing products, content, campaigns, and merchandising after launch.

Architecture

A storefront connected to the wider commerce stack

Innovine was built as the customer-facing layer of a larger multi-system commerce workflow rather than as an isolated Shopify store. Product information originates from the company’s product information management workflow and is mapped into Shopify for storefront use.

Innovine was built as the customer-facing layer of a larger multi-system commerce workflow rather than as an isolated Shopify store. Product information originates from the company’s product information management workflow and is mapped into Shopify for storefront use. Shopify then serves the customer experience while remaining connected to downstream operational systems responsible for pricing, inventory availability, orders, and fulfillment. This separation allowed each platform to retain a clear responsibility: the PIM manages structured product information, Shopify delivers the commerce experience, the ERP remains part of the operational record, and fulfillment is handled through the connected logistics workflow.

Integration

Connecting product, operations, fulfillment, and growth systems

Beyond the storefront build, I configured and mapped the integrations required to make Innovine operate as part of the company’s existing commerce ecosystem. Product data was connected through the PIM workflow, while ERP mappings supported order synchronization and the flow of pricing and available quantity back into Shopify.

Beyond the storefront build, I configured and mapped the integrations required to make Innovine operate as part of the company’s existing commerce ecosystem. Product data was connected through the PIM workflow, while ERP mappings supported order synchronization and the flow of pricing and available quantity back into Shopify. Shipping and fulfillment were configured around the company’s third-party logistics provider so storefront orders could move into the operational fulfillment process. I also implemented the marketing and customer tooling required by the internal teams, including Google tracking, HubSpot, Klaviyo, and related integrations. This gave marketing and CRM teams the data and storefront touchpoints they needed without separating those tools from the core commerce workflow.

Result

From brand concept to an operating European storefront

The project moved Innovine from stakeholder concept and design direction into a complete production commerce experience with the systems required to support ongoing operations. The resulting storefront gave the brand its own customer-facing identity while keeping product information, inventory, pricing, order processing, fulfillment, marketing, and CRM connected to the broader company ecosystem.
